Big screens make summer events so much fun

There a lot happening this summer and there’s nothing like sipping a chilled beer and enjoying the event in the outdoors. Whether it’s a music festival or a sporting event, big screens bring much joy to people who can’t travel to the venue and attend an event. They can gather at a public space where a big screen has been installed and enjoy the atmosphere of the event, without actually being there. This summer is going to witness three of the biggest events UK has ever seen, or, rather, has seen in a long time. Here’s a little about what you need to know about each of the events and what it entails. So, even if you can’t make it to the event of your choice, find a screening near you and make the most of it.

The London 2012 Olympics:

London beat the likes of Paris, Moscow and New York to host the Olympics. The prestigious bid was lead by former British Olympic champion, Sebastian Coe. After the event comes to an end, London will be the only city to have hosted the modern Olympic Games three times. The city last hosted the games in 1908 and 1948. At that time, those who couldn’t make it to the venue had no way of enjoying the events live. Thankfully, with fixed screens at various venues, and also temporary mobile LED screens, those interested in the games, but unable to make it to London or the Olympic Park can feel as engaged with one of the biggest sporting events of the year.

The Queen’s Jubilee:

This is a spectacular summer event that will be a lot of fun to attend or watch on screens in local towns and cities outside London. The Jubilee will mark 60 years of the Queen’s Reign and include an exciting line-up of events to celebrate the Jubilee. These include the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant and the Big Jubilee Lunch. The most fun event to watch on LED screens, if you can’t make it to the venue, is the BBC Concert at Buckingham Palace. The concert will feature the best of UK and Commonwealth musicians and will surely be a delight.

The Euro 2012:

After the London 2012 Olympics, the Euro 2012 is going to be one of the biggest sporting events in the UK. Those who can’t buy the tickets or travel to watch the games at the venue can watch it on big screens at locations close and convenient to them.
