For the past three years ADI have supplied a screen for the Walk the Walk Edinburgh Moonwalk.
Walk the Walk was started twelve years ago by Nina Barough, who decided to walk the New York Marathon in decorated bras to raise money for breast cancer. Since 1998, she has been organising Moon Walks – a midnight power-walk marathon in London and – as from last year – Bristol and now in Edinburgh for the first time.
The Edinburgh Moonwalk sees 12,000 women (and men!) gather at an enormous 90m x 60m pink tent on The Meadows in Edinburgh. ADI are on-site to provide LED screens to show the entertainment that preceded the walk, courtesy of 2 20sq.m. LED screens on stage and a 2-camera outside broadcast unit.
The screens showed information from PC, VT playout of May’s Moonwalk in Hyde ark and footage of the pre-walk on-stage bands. The walkers even received an on-stage warm-up aerobics class before beginning the midnight marathon around Edinburgh’s streets!
