ADI supplied a multi-screen, nationwide solution for the latest Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile event, with nine different iCONIC screens in 8 different UK cities.
The Sport Relief Mile sees hundreds of thousands of people take to the streets at dedicated city and town locations across the country. Sponsored participants run the mile course (some of them a number of times!), with a large number of celebrities taking part and extensive television coverage.
With so many people taking part the city events, in particular are very busy, and ADI's screens played an important role in showing live coverage as well as important timing and safety information ensuring that the events ran smoothly.
Because of the size of our fleet of screens, we were able to offer Sport Relief a scale of solution that other LED screen companies could not, with a total of 9 screens used, all from ADI's own fleet of iCONIC mobile LED screens. There was real benefit for Sport Relief, as they were able to centrally manage all of these screens via a single Project Manager at ADI and brought continuity and a guaranteed level of service across screens at all locations.
As well as the Sport Relief Mile, one of ADI's iCONIC 15 screens was used for the Hula Hoops Hoopathon in London's Victoria Park; an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most number of people simultaneously hula hooping for two minutes; a feat officially achieved just after 2pm, with 1388 people taking part all over the UK!
Customer Comment
"ADI proved to be capable and helpful partners to work with. The fact that they were able to project manage screens across so many different locations certainly helped to simplify the process and staff at each location were both friendly and professional."
