An ADI iCONIC 100 – the world's largest mobile LED screens – provided a huge visual backdrop for the Nokia Live Stage at this year's Oxegen Festival in County Kildare Ireland.
In a pioneering move, Nokia distributed 20,000 3D glasses on the week leading up Oxegen, and fans experienced the full AV show on the iCONIC 100 in 3D.
Oxegen is Ireland's biggest music festival with an average attendance of over 80,000 a day, including many revellers from overseas. 2010 saw over 150 acts playing, with an impressive line-up that included Eminem, Muse, Arcade Fire, The Prodigy and Jay-Z, who was accompanied to the festival by his wife Beyonce.
Situated within the main 35,000 capacity campsite, the Nokia Live Stage ran 16 hours per day over four days, providing revellers with a Festival TV Channel during the day, and six hours of full Audio visual DJ sets at night.
The stage was managed as part of a brand activation project for Nokia, and it proved to be incredibly popular with those festival goers. Content included live interviews from the main arena, news updates, an interactive video jukebox, WiFi, and a selection of specially designed festival Apps that were distributed through Bluetooth, and Nokia's Ovi Store.
With Oxegen taking place over the same weekend as the FIFA World Cup 2010 final, the festival organisers took advantage of the iCONIC 100 to show the match live on the Sunday evening to huge crowds on the worlds largest mobile LED screen.
