ADI screens are used at countless Christmas lights switch-ons across the UK, from small towns to major cities. The events are a fantastic opportunity for local councils to get people from across the community together and increase trade for local businesses.
As Christmas lights switch-ons have become bigger events, many councils include a full evening of entertainment, including bands and acts in the build up to the big switch on. LED screens are the perfect way to keep large numbers of people entertained in a city centre environment and help to avoid crowd crushing in contained spaces.
ADI's range of iCONIC screens are ideal as they have a setup and derig time of under 30 minutes, enabling them to arrive onsite shortly before the event and leave straight after, allowing city centre streets to reopen promptly.
As well as the Disney sponsored event in London, ADI screens have this year been used for Christmas lights events across the UK, including Bath, Belfast, Birmingham, Romford, Paisley, Falkirk and at Glasgow, where an iCONIC 60 helped to entertain the many thousands of locals who packed George Square for the event.
The iCONIC 60 was ideal for the event as its on-board production suite enabled mixing of live camera feeds with video and promotional footage without the need for an additional outside broadcast vehicle, which saved Glasgow City Council time, money and space!
