ADI's iCONIC 60 mobile LED screen was a central part of the festivities at the St. Patrick's Day Festival in Trafalgar Square, organised by The Greater London Authority.
ADI arrived to setup on the morning of the event and throughout the afternoon, the iCONIC 60 showed a mixture of live action from the on-stage acts as well as informational content such as sponsors' logos and running order details, supplied by the on-site production team.
The crowd of some 10,000 was treated to an all-Irish experience, including food, dance and music provided by a line-up of both traditional and contemporary Irish bands. Trafalgar Square also received a visit from the St. Patrick's Day Parade, which began at Hyde Park Corner and wound its way through the streets of London towards Trafalgar Square. As it passed, the parade was captured by the OB team – via a camera on a scissor lift – and intercut with on-stage footage on ADI's screen, enabling everyone to get a great view.
The festival drew to a close at 6pm, and – as the merry crowds made their way home – ADI began the derig of the screen, enabling them to be offsite and on their way home about an hour later.
