For the past two years, ADI have supplied iCONIC mobile LED screens for the Open Championship, one of the world's leading events on the golfing calendar.

ADI were contracted to provide the screens throughout the tournament which this year took place at the world's oldest and most revered course, The Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland.  In a repeat of last year's contract to provide screens for the Open at Turnberry, ADI supplied iCONIC 60 and iCONIC 25 mobile LED screens to be used to entertain fans in the "Tented Village" hospitality area.

St. Andrews is a difficult course even when the sun is shining, but with the gale force winds that arrived on the second day it becomes a different beast, and scores tumbled accordingly.  It was testament to the exceptional levels of wind resistance of ADI's iCONICs that neither screen needed to be lowered once throughout the tournament, even when play had to be halted as golf balls were being blown by the wind across the greens, making them unplayable!

ADI's screens – which ran live BBC coverage – proved to be exceptionally popular throughout the tournament as large crowds relaxed in the Tented Area, which offered a little respite from the elements on the exposed course.  As in 2009, the side of the iCONIC 60 carried a banner featuring the event sponsors, granting them additional exposure.
