High resolution Virtuality screens at King Power Stadium
High resolution stadium LED screens.
The Walkers Stadium is home to some of the highest resolution screens in UK football, courtesy of two Virtuality v8 30m² screens in the facing south-east and north-west corners of The Walkers Stadium.
Whilst most stadium screens tend to have a ‘virtual’ 10mm pixel size, Leicester have chosen more future-proof 8mm screens, giving a superior picture quality and resolution.
The screens come as part of a comprehensive matchday broadcast solution for Leicester City. With a capable in-house media department the club decided to create and manage content and programming in-house, with ADI specifying and installing an advanced production and playout suite which allows a single operator to combine multiple cameras, clips and graphics for full matchday broadcast.
ADI worked closely with the club following installation, providing a full content and graphics service alongside training, before handing over complete control to the club, with ongoing support as required.
“After careful and lengthy consideration, which took in a number of different suppliers, Leicester City are pleased to announce ADI as our new stadium LED screen partner. We believe ADI’s key strengths to be their ability to provide a flexible and bespoke installation and their unrivalled expertise in the market place, giving us a solution that benefits the Club not only in the short term, but in the years to come.
“ADI have proved us right, and have provided an excellent service from start to finish, offering knowledgeable advice and expertise followed by perfect execution and great support.”
