ADI’s bespoke LED screen combines elegance and practicality for a new promotional platform at Leicester’s Highcross Shopping Centre.
The 22.5m² 6mm indoor screen has an incredibly thin profile of just 45mm, thanks to some creative engineering which sees all of the screen circuitry and power supplies located behind the wall the screen is affixed to.
As well as being a more attractive solution, this has significant practical advantages to maximise the operational time of the screen throughout its lifetime. Easy access to the rear of the screen allows service and maintenance to be carried out at any time of the day, rather than having to wait until the shopping centre is closed.
Further reassurance is provided by ADI’s internal monitoring, with a live link via a dedicated HD webcam to the Live Venue Eye service giving real-time visual surveillance, and allowing us to quickly diagnose and react to any technical faults that may occur.
Based in the heart of Leicester, Highcross has become a popular Midlands retail destination since opening in 2008, and was the largest regeneration project to ever take place in the city. Offering over 120 retailers, cinemas, cafes and restaurants, Highcross receives over 18 million visitors a year.
ADI provided a fully managed solution which encompassed not only initial visualisations, structural engineering, manufacture and installation, but also incorporates on-going localised support and maintenance over the lifetime of the technology.
“We chose ADI because of the successful installations they’ve created at other premium shopping centres across the UK, which means they were extremely well placed to oversee the entire process from an operational perspective and can provide us with peace of mind by delivering on-going local support and maintenance. The installation went smoothly with the ADI team commissioning the screen ahead of schedule.”
