Digital Signage Solution for Manchester fashion precinct
Two digital signage solutions for Spinningfields designer retail precinct.
There's a new location for luxury shopping in the North West with the launch of The Avenue shopping precinct in Manchester's Spinningfields development.
The Avenue plays host to some of the world's leading fashion brands including Armani, DKNY, Mulberry and All Saints on a single ‘high street'. ADI have provided two digiSIGN LED signage solutions for the corner of The Avenue, offering two very different programming solutions.
A key feature of ADI's digiSIGN solution is the ability to scale it to any size and aspect ratio. The two solutions at The Avenue demonstrate this perfectly, with a portrait column of LED Panels on one edge of the corner, perpendicular to a larger, more traditional landscape screen which runs along The Avenue.
Both screens run different content, all produced by ADI's Production department, thus enabling Spinningfields to receive a complete solution from ADI encompassing not only installation and day-to-day operation, but also everything production and management of all content.
Content is controlled remotely, with easily configurable playlists that feature content provided by retailers on The Avenue. Content on the corner, portrait screen is designed to draw shoppers into the area and is more text and graphic orientated, promoting The Avenue as a whole and forthcoming events and store openings. The larger screen predominantly runs Fashion TV channel, helping to create a high fashion ambience in the area, and this is interspersed with advertisements specific to the retailers on The Avenue.
With The Avenue opening in the autumn of 2010, ADI managed the complete installation in a two stage process, with the portrait sign followed a few weeks later by the larger screen. The screens certainly add to the ambience of The Avenue, adding to the air of dynamic, high-end sophistication on the precinct.
Spinnigfields is also home to a further ADI LED screen in Hardman Square – read more about it here.
