  • A huge new digital canvas will transform the appearance of the stadium.
  • Club to deliver new entertainment content across the platform to engage fans on match day.
  • New commercial partnership opportunities launched.

Worcester Warriors’ Sixways Stadium will undergo a digital transformation ahead of the 2019/20 Gallagher Premiership Season.

Work begins this month to install two new giant LED screens and digital ribbon, which will take over the South Stand and transform the matchday experience for fans. The plan is for the new displays to go live for the opening Gallagher Premiership match against Leicester Tigers in October.

The displays will bring the latest high-resolution LED technology to Sixways, creating a high- impact, creative platform through which the club can interact with fans.

As well as installing the new display technology, we will connect the stadium to our remote production facility in Preston where a team of producers, editors and graphics operators will create and manage the live matchday content delivered into the stadium.

Worcester Warriors Operations Director Peter Kelly said,

“We can’t wait to welcome fans back to their new-look home at the start of the season. The new display infrastructure won’t just transform the appearance of the stadium, though – it will revolutionise the way fans experience the game,”

“We’re working closely with ADI to deliver a fan-first content strategy that will enhance the matchday experience whilst also creating a valuable platform for our partners.

“We want to create one of the best experiences in live sport – not just in rugby. So it’s important to us that the new displays are used to create a highly interactive experience for fans. That means bringing together the best of social media, match stats, and creative video content to create a meaningful experience that feels new and exciting every week.

“The team at ADI have helped us at every stage of the process – they’ve provided the answers to every technical, commercial and content question we’ve had to define a really strong solution. The end result won’t just look incredible but, thanks to ADI’s guidance, we’re confident it will deliver on key fan engagement and commercial goals.”

The digital infrastructure will also bring new opportunities for Warriors’ commercial partners, who will be able to interact with fans in a far more creative and dynamic way.

Warriors will launch a range of new commercial opportunities to help regional and national partners utilise the new digital infrastructure, and have worked with ADI to develop a new Business Club scheme which offers opportunities for businesses large and small.

ADI CEO, Geraint Williams, commented,

“We absolutely love projects like this, as they draw on the best of our talents. Working in collaboration with Worcester Warriors we were able to help the club not only choose the best technology to meet their needs, but also to create engaging content, whilst offering insight into the best way in which the club can provide value for brand partners,”
