Skelton Lake is a brand new service area serving the M1 at junction 45, just outside Leeds.  “Extra’s” £64m project is packed with modern features including a business meeting centre and on-site hotel, but has been designed to sit comfortably within its relatively rural environment – its organic shape features a “living green roof” and incorporates an RSPB wildlife visitor centre on its top floor.

ADI’s screen has been installed within the main dining area of the services, positioned prominently on the wall to provide an entertainment and informational hub to customers both as they enjoy meals or as they pass through the main area.

The 8m² screen uses ADI’s own high resolution 3.75mm high brightness LED for maximum visibility in the bright environment which features natural light from the ceiling windows built into its swooping, undulating roofline.  With a 20:9 superwide ratio, the screen is able to display multiple feeds at any one time; its standard setup features a 16:9 video area supported by a banner underneath and a portrait information panel on the right-hand side which will typically display dynamic content such as latest traffic reports that is of key interest to customers.
