ADI delivered a record solution to Silverstone for the 2024 Formula One British Grand Prix (4th-7th July), which follows a recent multi-year contract extension with the circuit.

NEW STAGES AND LIVE ENTERTAINMENT OFFERING

Following on from ADI’s successful delivery of the ‘The Driver’s Inn’ last year, ADI took on full management and production of the brand-new ‘Made at Vale’ stage, which attracted 10,000 Formula 1 fans each day. It brought a diverse and exciting entertainment schedule with live music acts, mass participation and child-friendly activities including Massaoke, Dick & Dom, Ministry of Science Live and Noasis.

The Driver’s Inn presented by eBay was even bigger and better than the 2023 edition, while ADI also supported the programming and technical staging at the Red Bull Energy Zone and Heineken Chequered Flag area, with ADI creating over 200 hours of live event programming over the four days.

ADI coordinated more than 50 live bands, podcasters, celebrity guests, radio shows, hosts and DJ’s as part of the continual entertainment schedules, and delivered over 100 ‘Prize Pitstops’ during a variety of audience participation events and fan engagement apps, with giveaways including F1 Paddock tours, bespoke F1 Lego cars and exclusive Silverstone merchandise.

innovative digital gantries

ADI have installed new LED signage at two prominent locations at the historic circuit, helping Silverstone deliver enhanced brand activation for headline sponsors and commercial partners, while bringing ease and impact to the venue’s re-branding and promotions for every live event.

Over 235sqm of ADI’s MT Series product has been installed in a 6mm pixel pitch across the two locations. Alongside its slimline, all-in-one fan-less tile design, the MT Series has a range of features to drive energy efficiency, performance, reliability, and sustainability over product lifespan, while minimising power consumption.

  • Hamilton Straight – Set beside the iconic Silverstone Wing, two existing dual-sided gantries that cross the track and F1 Pit Lane have been adapted and enhanced with 6mm LED signage
  • Silverstone Main Entrance – The existing Welcome gantry that visitors see on entrance and exit from the circuit has been upgraded, with 6mm LED installed on the rear face.
Client comment

ADI have helped Silverstone build on last year’s incredible up-lift in live entertainment and digital infrastructure, and we couldn’t be happier with their delivery. They are proven as an experienced partner across the very technical to the highly creative; from the successful introduction of the ‘Made at Vale’ stage and it’s vibrant, festival-style experience, to the spectacular LED gantries that bring impact and versatility for brand partners, sponsors and our own promotion. It’s very rare that a single supplier can provide such extensive and diverse solutions, but having that relationship helps us to stay at the forefront of international motorsport and deliver seamless live events for many years to come.”

In our 10th year at Silverstone we can be proud of the huge variety of services and specialised teams that contribute to this fantastic four-day festival. We have the expertise and innovative thinking to help the Formula 1 British Grand Prix continually grow and evolve; that might be attracting specific fan demographics through specialised entertainment and staging, helping activate sponsors in a more dynamic way, or delivering specialist technical services that support a circuit-wide experience for nearly half a million fans.”
