ADI Supports United As One Awards

ADI have been working closely with the Newcastle United Foundation to produce four powerful and poignant videos that showcase personal stories of overcoming adversity within their local community.

The short films featured as a focal point of the Foundation’s annual United As One Awards ceremony and tell the inspiring stories of this year’s winners. The videos have also been shared across social media and have brought close to 200,000 views and 1.5 million impressions already.

Crafting Your Story

ADI’s Production team started by working closely with Foundation staff to define a clear and achievable brief for the content. Next, time and attention were taken to understand the personal needs and limitations of the project’s collaborators, ensuring they were comfortable and happy with what would be asked of them. Filming locations were scouted and assessed for practicality and safety.

Each video was filmed on location at St James’ Park and features still images that delve deeper into the collaborator’s stories. The filming locations were carefully chosen to highlight the incredible work the Newcastle United Foundation does and how users interact with the available services. The interviews with award winners were carefully structured and scripted to deliver exactly what was needed in a natural, organic, but engaging way.

Delivering Your Story

Paul Hirshman, Producer at ADI, has said “It was critical for us to showcase these brave people’s stories with the proper sensitivity and respect. It feels like we have been on a journey with the Foundation and these wonderful people, it’s great to be working with real people with truly inspiring stories of hope and triumph.”

“Working with ADI has been incredibly easy and reassuring. We entrusted them to tell our communities’ stories with the compassion and care they deserved. The team at ADI took responsibility and handled the project with the upmost professionalism. It was particularly helpful for us to have a single point of contact within the ADI team while managing this sensitive and multi-faceted project. We couldn’t be happier with the results.”

This is the sixth partnership between ADI and the Newcastle United Foundation in the last year.  The videos have gained huge support across social media, gaining hundreds of thousands of views and helping to raise awareness of Newcastle United Foundation’s work with the local communities and ongoing commitment to supporting the people of the North East.
