The world’s greatest bike race is coming back to Great Britain – and ADI is proud to be part of the journey once again.
In July 2027, the Tour de France will begin with a historic Grand Départ in Edinburgh, marking the first time both the men’s Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift start in the same foreign country. With around 80 miles of Stage 2 set to pass through Lancashire, the race will put the region’s towns, countryside and communities firmly in the global spotlight.
ADI operates globally from its Lancashire headquarters and is a long-term delivery partner to A.S.O. (Amaury Sport Organisation), supporting some of the biggest cycling events on the planet – including the Tour de France.
Rolling through Lancashire
The Tour de France 2027 will cut through Lancashire with Carnforth, Morecambe and Lancaster the first legs before the race heads into the Forest of Bowland. Moving south, spectators will be able to view the cyclists in key towns and villages like Clitheroe, Blackburn, Chorley, Croston and Up Holland.

ADI has worked alongside A.S.O. (Amaury Sport Organisation) across multiple editions of the Tour de France, in many different countries and terrains, supporting the delivery of one of the world’s most complex annual sporting events.
From the Grand Départ to the Champs-Élysées, we’ve delivered bespoke LED and digital screen solutions, mobile structures and technical infrastructure that enhance the live experience for fans at every stage. Our work spans both the men’s Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, reflecting the event’s evolution and a shared commitment to high-quality sports presentation.
This partnership goes beyond supplying technology. It’s built on collaboration – developing new concepts, refining fan engagement and responding to the unique logistical and technical demands of the Tour.
WHY 2027 MATTERS TO US
The return of the Tour de France to Great Britain in 2027, and particularly through Lancashire, holds particular significance. It brings the race closer to home and showcases, on familiar roads, the scale of an event we’ve been closely involved with for many years.
As riders pass through neighbouring communities, millions of fans — both on site and watching around the world — will experience the Tour through the event presentation we help deliver.
