For four days every summer, Silverstone transforms into one of the world’s largest live sporting events, welcoming fans from across the globe to experience everything from wheel-to-wheel action and driver appearances to live entertainment, family activities and unforgettable moments away from the circuit itself. In 2026, that experience reached a new milestone, with a record-breaking 564,000 people attending across the weekend to make it the highest-attended Formula 1 event in history.
As the event continues to grow, so too does the challenge of delivering an experience worthy of the occasion. Every new attraction, entertainment space and piece of infrastructure has to enhance the fan journey without losing what makes the British Grand Prix so special.
Having partnered with Silverstone for over a decade, we’re always excited to play our part in their evolution. Working alongside the circuit, our teams once again combined sports presentation, live event production, technical delivery and digital infrastructure to help create an experience that extended far beyond the racing.
Creating a Destination Beyond the Track
For many fans, the first memorable moment of the day doesn’t happen when the lights go out on the grid – it begins hours earlier, as crowds gather around the Fan Forecourt hoping to catch a glimpse of their favourite drivers arriving at the paddock. Elsewhere, families make their way towards Made at Vale, motorsport enthusiasts head for Driver’s Inn and thousands of Lando Norris supporters, dressed head to toe in luminescent colours, begin filling the expanded Landostand long before the day’s track action gets underway.
Every area has its own atmosphere, but together they create something much bigger. That doesn’t happen by chance. As attendance continues to grow year after year, every destination has to offer a reason for fans to explore another corner of the circuit, spend longer on site and discover experiences beyond the racing itself. The result is a British Grand Prix that feels less like a single sporting event and more like a festival of motorsport, with an entertainment journey and fan engagement woven naturally into every touchpoint of the experience.
Fan-First Activations
At the Fan Forecourt, live hosts Kenzi Benali and Sam Hurst, alongside DJ Tony Perry, built anticipation from the early hours as fans lined the barriers waiting for driver arrivals. Huge competitions and giveaways, F1 Driver interviews, Paddock Tours, Padel games, and amazing fan engagement transformed a familiar routine into one of the weekend’s most anticipated experiences, setting the tone before a single car had taken to the circuit.
Driver’s Inn offered a completely different perspective. Hosted by Lucy Mills and Jake Sanson, with music from DJ Char Stape, the stage became home to technical discussions, live podcasts, competitions and appearances from personalities across the sport, giving fans a chance to explore the stories and engineering behind Formula 1 as well as the racing itself.
Entertainment continued beyond the stages too, with Silverstone 87.7FM broadcasting live throughout the weekend from our iCONIC X, adding another layer to the visitor experience and helping keep fans connected wherever they were around the circuit. Collectively, the four destinations delivered more than 300 hours of live programming, ensuring the atmosphere remained every bit as engaging between sessions as it was during the racing itself.
Behind the Vale Grandstand, Made at Vale once again welcomed thousands of visitors throughout the weekend. Hosted by Dave Goodings, the family-friendly entertainment hub combined live music from the 80s, 90s and 00s with appearances from F1 personalities such as Günther Steiner, alongside interactive experiences that helped create a true festival atmosphere, proving that some of the biggest crowds at Silverstone aren’t always gathered around the track.
Newly revamped following an overwhelming reaction in 2025, LandoStand represented one of the event’s biggest developments. Expanded to welcome more than 16,000 fans within its dedicated grandstand at Stowe, it quickly became one of the defining sights of the weekend. Hosted by Cai Sherlock and Nick Bright, alongside DJ Jamie Anne, the experience captured the energy surrounding Britain’s reigning World Champion and demonstrated how Silverstone continues to evolve its fan offering as the sport reaches new audiences year after year.
Connecting Every Corner of Silverstone
As visitors moved around the venue, the experience moved with them. Live race coverage, entertainment, event information, partner content and operational messaging followed fans wherever they chose to spend their day, ensuring they never felt disconnected from the action unfolding elsewhere around the circuit.
Supporting that experience was one of our most extensive technical deliveries to date. Across the venue, 104 mobile and modular LED screens worked alongside more than 235 square metres of permanent MT Series LED infrastructure, while over 15 kilometres of fibre connectivity linked every major location into one connected network.
Whether broadcasting live coverage to a hospitality area, delivering wayfinding information to spectators or supporting the entertainment programme across the stages, every element worked synonymously as part of an integrated design to keep the event moving.
The technology itself rarely takes centre stage. Its role is to quietly support the fan experience, allowing organisers to communicate instantly, respond to changing situations and deliver a seamless event for more than half a million people across one of the world’s most iconic sporting venues.

The People That Make Amazing Happen
Months before the first trucks arrive on site; creative teams begin developing content, production schedules are refined, infrastructure plans are reviewed and technical teams prepare for one of the most demanding live events builds in the UK. By the time spectators arrive on Thursday morning, every stage has been rehearsed, every screen commissioned and every system tested, allowing the focus to shift entirely towards delivering an unforgettable weekend.
More than 100 ADI team members supported this year’s British Grand Prix across planning, build, live operations and derig. Project managers, engineers, technicians, sports presentation specialists, production operators and event crews worked as one cohesive team, ensuring every entertainment moment, every screen and every technical system performed exactly as intended.
Another Successful Year Complete… See You Next Time!
Every British Grand Prix brings new expectations. Attendance grows, fan behaviours evolve and the buzz surrounding Formula 1 continues to expand, challenging everyone involved to think differently about what a Grand Prix can become.
Our partnership with Silverstone has grown in exactly the same way. Over more than a decade, we’ve supported the circuit’s transformation into one of the world’s leading live sporting venues, combining consultancy, creative production, sports presentation and technical expertise to deliver solutions that continue to evolve alongside the event itself.
The 2026 British Grand Prix wasn’t simply memorable because it welcomed a record-breaking crowd. It was memorable because every part of the venue had something to offer, creating a connected experience that kept fans engaged from the moment they arrived until after the chequered flag.
As Silverstone continues to redefine what a modern Formula 1 weekend looks like, we’re proud to continue evolving alongside it, helping shape experiences that keep raising the standard for live events around the world.
