Bolton Wanderer’s Stadium Transformation creates a grand finish Line for Vernon’s Ultra Ultramarathon

TV personality and BBC Radio 2 presenter, Vernon Kay, was treated to a spectacular digital homecoming as he finished his epic Children in Need challenge at Bolton Wanderer’s Toughsheet Community Stadium. Thanks to the recent installation of LED scoreboards, digiBOARD digital perimeter and LED ribbon, Vernon’s beloved Bolton Wanderers were able to completely transform the in-bowl messaging for his triumphant entrance.

Both the BBC and Bolton Wanderers utilised the digital stadium platform when welcoming Vernon Kay over the finish line after completing his Ultra Ultramarathon for Children in Need – with messages of congratulations, promotion of his charity total and branding for BBC Radio 2. ADI were able to take the specific event content and create a Total Stadium Take-over, rebranding the venue for this special occasion through synchronised content play-out.

ADI’s recent installation includes Live Venue connectivity to the Toughsheet Community Stadium, allowing remote production and content play-out services over fibre from our Galleries in Preston.

“It was such a great morning and the screens looked incredible – what a special touch to have them in use.”
