There comes a point every summer when the world’s biggest sporting events seem to arrive all at once. Stadiums fill, race circuits come alive, city centres transform into fan destinations and international championships move from one country to the next, each demanding the same attention to detail, planning and creativity as the last.
- The Commonwealth Games in Glasgow
- A record-breaking Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone
- The Tour de France, travelling more than 3,200 km across France
- SailGP’s return to UK waters in Portsmouth
- LIV Golf UK at JCB Golf & Country Club
- The Formula E season building towards its London finale
- The UCI Mountain Bike World Series across Europe
- Goodwood Festival of Speed and the Qatar Goodwood Festival
- Ocean Outdoor’s Wimbledon Experience, bringing Centre Court to Battersea Power Station and Regent’s Place
Every event presented a different challenge, whether connecting half a million Formula 1 fans across an entire circuit, following the Tour de France from stage to stage or creating destinations where people could experience world-class sport together.
It’s a month that perfectly captures what modern live event delivery has become. Success is no longer measured solely by what happens on the field of play, but by everything that surrounds it, from the atmosphere that greets fans when they arrive to the technology, entertainment and production that keeps them engaged throughout the day. Looking back across July, that’s exactly where our teams made their impact.
Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026
The biggest multi-sport event of the summer officially began in Glasgow, bringing together athletes, fans and nations from across the Commonwealth for eleven days of competition and celebration.
Supporting an event of this scale demands months of preparation before the opening ceremony even begins, and our teams were proud to play a role in bringing the Games to life. At Kelvingrove Park, the official Fan Zone became a focal point for visitors throughout the opening days, combining live sport, entertainment, cultural performances and interactive activities into an experience that celebrated far more than the competition itself.
Away from the park, permanent digital displays at both the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome and Tollcross International Swimming Centre ensured spectators remained connected to the action inside two of the Games’ busiest venues, demonstrating how permanent digital infrastructure continues to enhance the experience long after installation is complete.
Silverstone British Grand Prix 2026
A record-breaking 564,000 fans passed through Silverstone across four days, making it the highest attended Formula 1 event in history and continuing the circuit’s evolution into one of the world’s great live sporting destinations. Working alongside Silverstone for more than a decade, our role has grown alongside the event itself, helping create an experience that extends far beyond the racing.
More than 100 ADI team members delivered sports presentation, live event production and digital infrastructure across the venue, supported by 104 screens, over 15 kilometres of fibre connectivity and more than 300 pieces of programmed content. Whether fans were gathering at Driver’s Inn, Made at Vale, the Fan Forecourt or the expanded Landostand, every destination formed part of one connected experience, ensuring visitors remained immersed in the atmosphere wherever they chose to spend their day.
Le Tour de France
While Silverstone welcomed hundreds of thousands of fans to one venue, the Tour de France presented a completely different challenge, asking our teams to deliver one of the world’s most demanding sporting events while constantly on the move.
Across more than 3,200 kilometres of racing, our mobile LED infrastructure travelled from stage to stage, supporting spectators with live coverage, event information and broadcast technology from the Grand Départ through to the final stage in Paris. As soon as one stage finished, attention immediately shifted to the next, with crews de-rigging, transporting and rebuilding infrastructure overnight before the riders arrived again the following morning.
It’s a delivery that depends on meticulous planning, experienced crews and seamless logistics, making the Tour one of the most rewarding and complex events in the sporting calendar. Congratulations to Tadej Pogačar on securing a record-equalling fifth Tour de France title as another unforgettable edition ended.

SailGP – Portsmouth
After months of travelling across the globe with SailGP, July saw the championship return to UK waters for the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix in Portsmouth.
Southsea Common welcomed more than 20,000 fans across the weekend, creating an electric atmosphere as world-class racing was complemented by live entertainment, interactive experiences and a packed programme designed to keep the energy high between races. From sports presentation and fan engagement to live production, our teams helped shape an event that extended well beyond what happened on the Solent.
Every SailGP destination has its own character, and that’s one of the aspects we enjoy most about supporting the championship. While the racing remains the constant, each host city brings a different audience, different culture and different personality, allowing every event to feel unique while maintaining the same level of creativity and consistency across the global series.
WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series
Our support of the UCI Mountain Bike World Series continued throughout July, with deliveries across La Thuile, Pal Arinsal and the Aletsch Arena adding to another busy international calendar. As the championship travels from one iconic mountain destination to the next, our teams help deliver sports presentation that reflects the unique identity of each venue, combining creative content, live production and culturally relevant presentation to create an experience that feels authentic to every host location.
From athlete introductions and podium ceremonies to storytelling, venue presentation and fan engagement, every element is designed to celebrate both the competition and the destination itself. It’s an approach that helps each round feel distinctive while maintaining the consistent look, feel and energy expected from a world-class championship.can we make it punchier

Formula E
As Formula E built towards its season finale in London, our teams continued supporting another global campaign that has taken us from the streets of Shanghai and Tokyo to the championship’s title-deciding finale in England’s capital.
Throughout the season, we’ve delivered sports presentation, creative content, technical infrastructure and fan engagement, helping create a consistent experience for fans regardless of where in the world the championship travels. With London preparing to host the final double-header, July’s races kept the anticipation in motion!

LIV Golf
July also saw LIV Golf return to UK soil as the championship arrived at JCB Golf & Country Club for another memorable weekend.
Golf presents a unique challenge for live event delivery, with spectators constantly moving around an expansive course throughout the day. Our solutions help keep fans engaged, informed and entertained wherever they choose to spend that particular moment, ensuring scoring, event information and key moments are enhancing the overall spectator experience.

Extending the Sport
July saw our teams return to Goodwood for both the Festival of Speed and the Qatar Goodwood Festival, supporting two iconic events that couldn’t be more different. From the spectacle of motorsport to one of Britain’s most prestigious horse racing festivals, our digital infrastructure helped enhance the visitor experience, support live programming and keep audiences connected throughout each venue.
That same approach extended beyond traditional sporting venues through Ocean Outdoor’s Wimbledon Experience. Throughout the Championships, Summer Screens at Battersea Power Station and Regent’s Place brought Wimbledon to the heart of London, giving thousands of people the chance to watch the action together on large-format LED screens. Whether supporting world-class events at their home or creating new places for fans to experience them, the objective remains the same: bringing people closer to the moments that matter.
The August Agenda
If July demonstrated anything, it’s that the live events calendar continues to evolve in both scale and ambition. From record-breaking sporting occasions and travelling international championships to city centre activations and major public celebrations, every project demanded something different from our teams while reinforcing the same commitment to delivering memorable experiences for organisers, partners and fans alike.
That momentum shows no sign of slowing down. August brings the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, the Formula E London E-Prix, the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham and the Community Shield, with each event presenting another opportunity to help shape the moments that millions of people will remember long after the final whistle, finish line or chequered flag.
