Media day is one of the biggest content opportunities in a football club’s calendar. With players already in front of the camera and time dedicated to capturing content for the season ahead, those few hours can shape far more than social media announcements and player profiles. They can help bring every home match to life.
The player content supporters see on team sheets, goal graphics, substitutions and stadium screens often begins on media day. By planning specifically for matchday, clubs can build a bank of creative assets that adds personality to the experience, strengthens their visual identity and creates new opportunities for commercial partners throughout the season.

Making Every Minute Count
Media days are busy. Players move between photography, interviews, kit launches, social content and sponsor commitments, leaving little room for delays or ideas that have not been properly considered.
That is why preparation matters. Before arriving on site, our producers work with the club to understand its matchday vision, the content required and how each asset will eventually be used. The shoot can then be structured around a clear plan, allowing the team to move efficiently through the full squad without disrupting the wider media-day schedule.
Keeping that flow is important for the players too. Clear direction, quick setups and varied activities help maintain their energy across the session, resulting in content that feels natural rather than forced.
Content With A Purpose
A green screen gives clubs the freedom to turn relatively simple footage into a wide range of matchday moments. A pose, reaction or celebration captured during the shoot can later become part of a starting XI reveal, goal sting, substitution graphic or player introduction.
It also gives clubs greater flexibility when working with sponsors. For example, during a shoot with Sheffield United, players were filmed holding a mobile phone, allowing different partner messages and creative to be added in post-production. One simple setup could therefore support multiple campaigns across the stadium and fanzone without requiring the players to return for another shoot.
The same approach is being taken across club’s women’s teams too. As clubs put greater resource behind the women’s game, we are helping create dedicated player content and matchday assets that give those fixtures the same level of creative attention, while still reflecting the individual identity of each team.
Adding audio and interactive formats can take the content further. Quick-fire questions, one-word answers and either-or challenges give supporters a closer look at the personalities behind the team, while bringing a more playful element to the players’ media responsibilities.
From Concept To Matchday
Capturing the footage is only one part of the process. Our producers, videographers and editors work as one team, taking the club’s initial idea from planning and filming through to the finished content played on matchday.
That end-to-end approach means every creative decision is made with its final environment in mind. The content is not simply designed to look good in isolation. It is built to work across stadium screens, fan zones and wider digital platforms, supporting the atmosphere, informing supporters and creating moments that feel unmistakably connected to the club.

For clubs looking to evolve their matchday presentation, media day represents a valuable opportunity. With the right planning and expertise, one well-managed shoot can create a season’s worth of content that engages supporters, showcases players and gives partners a stronger presence within the matchday experience.
