Silverstone Choose Sustainable ADI Solution For Digital Gantries

ADI have installed 5 new LED gantries at Silverstone, which feature their market-leading, energy efficient MT Series product. The permanent installations are part of ADI’s role as a Sustainability Partner to Silverstone, where they have delivered innovative LED display, sports presentation and technical infrastructure projects for ten years.

The custom LED signage was manufactured and installed by ADI ready for the 2024 Formula 1® Qatar Airways British Grand Prix and has also been utilised across the recent MotoGP and Silverstone Festival.

The gantries are located in two prominent positions at the historic circuit where they deliver enhanced brand activation for headline sponsors and commercial partners, while bringing ease and impact to the venue’s re-branding for every live event, as well as promotion of upcoming occasions.

HAMILTON STRAIGHT

Set beside the iconic Silverstone Wing, two existing dual-sided gantries that cross the track and F1 Pit Lane have been adapted and enhanced with MT 6mm product.

Prominent on TV broadcasts during big motorsport events, these gantries put headline sponsors and commercial partners at the centre of on-track action, and in front of global audiences.

SILVERSTONE MAIN ENTRANCE

The existing Welcome gantry that visitors see on entrance and exit from the circuit has been upgraded, with 6mm MT product installed on the rear face.

This allows Silverstone to tailor messaging and promotions to visitors, highlighting upcoming events and exclusive experiences.

MT Series: Class-Leading Sustainability

ADI have installed over 235 sqm of their MT Series product in a 6mm pixel pitch across the two locations. Alongside its slimline and lightweight design, with an all-in-one fan-less module, the MT Series has a range of features to drive impressive energy efficiencies, performance, reliability, and sustainability over product lifespan.

The MT Series is on average 23% more energy efficient during operation than previous generation products, and provides over 20% less embodied carbons, transport emissions and packaging. The ability to completely power off MT screens when not in use – rather than just put on sleep mode – provides considerable energy savings and reduces power consumption for clients.

"ADI were the natural choice when it came to transforming some of the circuit’s key infrastructure to digital; through our partnership they provide a knowledgeable, consultative approach backed by skilled staff and innovative LED products that we know lead the market in both sustainability and performance.

The installations are part of our wider futureproofing of the venue and the impact, versatility and creativity that digital technologies bring to our partners is huge; LED signage in strategic locations on the track and wider circuit allows our partner brands to reach more visitors, spectators and remote audiences than ever before."

Drew Burrow, Head of Bespoke and Creative Sales, ADI’s Displays Division, commented, “Having worked with Silverstone for a decade we understand their vision for enhancing circuit infrastructure and creating new opportunities for brand promotion and spectator experience. ADI’s MT product is incredibly well suited to the gantry applications, given its ultra lightweight and slimline design that helps achieve a sleek aesthetic with minimal supporting structures or steelwork. The eco-credentials and energy efficiencies of the MT product also perfectly align with Silverstone’s sustainability aims and Shift to Zero initiative, and this project has been a part of our wider Sustainable Partnership.”

Established Provider to Silverstone

These are ADI’s first permanent digital installations at Silverstone, however, they have been a trusted provider and official LED screen supplier to the circuit since 2015, where they deliver new and innovative services each year.

For the Formula 1® British Grand Prix, ADI deploy an impressive circuit-wide solution of over 70 large LED screens, digital wayfinding and video distribution networks, alongside sports presentation, live entertainment, content creation and event programming, all facilitated by inhouse teams.

The 2024 Formula 1® British Grand Prix saw ADI successfully manage four stage areas, including the brand new ‘Made at Vale’ stage, which enhanced the event’s family friendly offering and included a diverse and exciting schedule of entertainment.
