Inside the iCONIC H
The electric racing series took the ADI team to the historic Tempelhof Airport for the Berlin ePrix and a thrilling two day competition.
Following the successful large-scale solution delivered to the Paris ePrix, ADI supplied a selection of the most innovative iCONIC products to rouse the crowds that attended the Tempelhof circuit, including the world’s largest mobile LED screen – the iCONIC 120SW – and the recently launched iCONIC H.
Super-sized screen experience
The mighty iCONIC 120SW formed a central element of the spectator experience, delivering live race feeds, promotional content and sponsor advertising to over 20,000 fans – while forming a dramatic digital backdrop to the daily podium. The versatility of this huge screen allowed the client to display a wide range of engaging, interactive content over both days.
It was joined by two iCONIC 100s, an iCONIC 60, an iCONIC 25 and the new iCONIC H, all strategically sited around the circuit to optimise viewing opportunities for Formula E fans. Additionally, ADI installed a full 4km broadcast fibre network which delivered live feeds to each screen.
The iCONIC H : A versatile space for event VIP’s, site services and TV broadcast
Located at the heart of the circuit, the iCONIC H became an important hub for sites services. With over 700 square feet of flexible floor-space it offered multi-purpose use for the organiser, serving as a sleek studio for Formula E TV broadcast, a modern meeting room for Formula E management and a premium hospitality space for VIPs and racing drivers.
The 15 sqm LED screen on the exterior of the unit broadcast live race coverage, while the 3.5 sqm ‘wings’ displayed Formula E branding. On the interior guests could view a number of live feeds, including Formula E’s Twitter channel and a live leader board.
