ADI’s digiSIGN digital signage solution has helped to revolutionise the exterior of a college in Kent. A digiSIGN was installed on the exterior of the main college building as part of major revamp to the area over 2009-2010 and used primarily as a tool to promote latest college news and events.
The £26 million investment has helped to provide state-of-the-art facilities that benefit not only the college but also the town centre.
ADI installed a 6.4m x 0.64m system in summer 2010, which was positioned on the outside of the main college building facing into the town square, an area popular with both local residents and college students during the summer months.
ADI supplied a full custom-built software control system for the digiSIGN, enabling Orpington’s Marketing department to manage the playlist of content easily and on-site.
The flexible system is easy to operate but allows for a number of different playlists to be set to suit different times of day. It’s able to accept a wide variety of video and static inputs enabling the college to easily create their own content using programs such as Flash and Photoshop.
