BALLER LEAGUE UK
Transforming London’s Copper Box Arena into an entertainment-first football experience for a new generation of fans.
Aim:
When Baller League expanded into the UK, the ambition was clear: bring a new format of football to life in a way that resonates with modern audiences.
Originating in Germany, the six-a-side competition blends elite football talent with influencers, creators and celebrities to create a fast-paced version of the game designed for digital-first fans. With shorter matches, evolving rules and multi-platform broadcasting, the league required a delivery partner capable of building an arena experience that felt as dynamic as the sport itself.
Working alongside Baller League since its UK debut, ADI has been responsible for transforming London’s Copper Box Arena into a fully immersive football venue – delivering sports presentation, broadcast integration and large-scale technical production across the competition.
Following three successful seasons, the partnership continues to shape how this new era of football entertainment is experienced both inside the arena and by audiences watching around the world.

Designing the Experience / A New Format for Football
Baller League represents a shift in how football is consumed and experienced.
Unlike traditional matchdays, the league compresses football into short, high-energy encounters designed to capture the pace and immediacy of modern digital content. Matches consist of two 15-minute halves played on a smaller indoor pitch, with rule twists introduced in the final minutes of each half, including reduced player numbers, long-range goals counting for double and MLS-style 1v1 penalties.
The format creates constant drama and unpredictability, but it also demands a production environment capable of delivering moments instantly to both the arena and a global audience.
For ADI, the challenge was to design an experience where football, entertainment and digital storytelling worked together seamlessly; creating a spectacle that felt as engaging for fans inside the venue as it did for viewers watching online.
WE’RE THRILLED TO BE SUPPORTING THE UK LAUNCH OF BALLER LEAGUE AS IT BRINGS NOT JUST EVOLUTION IN FOOTBALL FORMAT BUT SHOWS ELITE SPORT, INFLUENCERS AND CONTENT CREATORS CONVERGE. WE’LL BE HELPING DRIVE THE HYPER-EXCITING EXPERIENCE THROUGH A COMPLETE BALLER LEAGUE TAKEOVER INSIDE THE COPPER BOX ARENA.

Complete Venue Takeover
Across the Baller League’s UK seasons, ADI has delivered a complete transformation of the Copper Box Arena, turning the multi-purpose venue into a purpose-built football entertainment environment.
Each matchday features six fast-paced fixtures staged across a single evening, requiring a production setup capable of maintaining energy and spectacle throughout.
From LED infrastructure and lighting to sports presentation and broadcast integration, every element of the venue environment has been designed to create a high-impact experience for fans while delivering a polished broadcast product for audiences watching on Sky Sports and across digital platforms including YouTube and Twitch.
The result is an immersive arena where sport, live entertainment and content creation converge.

Sports Presentation
Baller League’s sports presentation is designed to serve two audiences simultaneously: the crowd inside the arena and viewers watching across streaming platforms.
ADI delivers the full match presentation environment, including graphics, music, player walkouts and content playout. To ensure the production moves at the same pace as the action on the pitch.
Influencer-Led
Unlike traditional football competitions, Baller League teams are managed by a mix of football legends, celebrities and creators.
This means the event environment must support content creation alongside the live matches. Streaming booths and creator spaces allow influencers to capture and share moments in real time, extending the event’s reach far beyond the arena.
Ceremonies and Matchday Flow
Player walkouts, introductions and match build-ups are designed more like live entertainment moments than traditional football ceremonies.
Lighting sequences, music stings and live hosting help create a distinctive rhythm throughout the evening.
Big Brand Activations
Brand activations played a key role in bringing fans closer to the action, seamlessly integrated into the matchday experience. From CUPRA’s head-to-head fan challenges that give supporters the chance to step onto the stage and compete for cash prizes to interactive touchpoints from partners including Head & Shoulders and Grenade, each activation added another layer to the live environment.
During the most recent Baller League Season 3, new collaborations such as Fortnite further extended the experience beyond the arena, connecting live sport with gaming and digital culture in a way that resonates with a new generation of fans.
Lifting the Energy and Spectator Interaction
Every element of the production is designed to keep energy high and fans engaged, turning spectators into active participants in the experience rather than passive viewers.

LED Cube – A First for the Format
Positioned above the pitch, a custom LED video cube delivers live replays, match graphics, branding and entertainment content to the entire arena.
While common in indoor sports environments, the use of a video cube in football creates a unique visual centrepiece, ensuring fans remain connected to the action at every moment.
digiBOARD Content
Similarly to tradtional football, ADI’s digital perimeter boards provide dynamic content throughout matches, supporting sponsor integration, rule announcements and live match graphics.
Together, these LED systems create a layered visual environment that amplifies key moments — from dramatic goals to sudden “Gamechanger” rule twists.
Gamechangers
One of the competition’s defining features is the introduction of “Gamechanger” rule twists during the closing minutes of each half. These unpredictable moments are communicated instantly through graphics, screens and audio, ensuring fans remain fully engaged in the action.
Hosts, DJs and Entertainment
A live DJ, arena host and in-match entertainment keep the atmosphere high throughout the night, ensuring that every pause in play becomes an opportunity to engage the crowd.
Built for Broadcast
Accessibility is central to the Baller League concept, with matches broadcast live on Sky Sports while also streaming across YouTube, Twitch and other digital platforms.
ADI’s integrated technical infrastructure ensures that live action, graphics and entertainment elements are delivered seamlessly across both broadcast and digital platforms, helping create a consistent viewing experience regardless of where fans are watching.
The league has quickly built a strong online following, with early matchdays generating:
PEAK TV AUDIENCE ON SKY SPORTs
LIVE VIEWERS PER MATCH ON YOUTUBE
VIEWERS PER MATCH ON TWITCH STREAMS
HOURS OF CONTENT WATCHED IN THE OPENING WEEKS OF SEASON 3
of fans in attendance each matchday
OFFERING A HUGE PEDIGREE IN LIVE SPORTS EVENTS AND FOOTBALL FAN EXPERIENCE, WE KNEW ADI WOULD BE A GREAT FIT AS WE EXPAND BALLER LEAGUE INTERNATIONALLY. WE NEEDED A PARTNER WHO COULD BRING TOGETHER THE BEST TECHNOLOGIES, PRODUCTION AND CREATIVE ELEMENTS FOR OUR EVENTS
